Bravo aux femmes

Fritzner Alphonse was introduced to painting by a childhood friend, the artist Calixte Henri. A repeated theme in his paintings is the female figure, especially Creole women, which he depicts in numerous variations. He was also commissioned to create a large mural in Miami, Florida. We love the ease depicted by aquamarine colours of this piece. The feminine piece alludes to a quiet repose after a long day's work.
